MINESH & HANISHA
HEDSOR HOUSE
14 & 15 AUGUST 2024
THE HAPPY COUPLE
The story of Minesh and Hanisha all started with a Pornstar Martini cocktail at Revolution Bar, Sheffield in 2015!
We were introduced through university friends in Sheffield but little did we know that being separated by continents and a worldwide pandemic (COVID-19) would bring us closer together!
The rest is history!
Fast forward to 2022 whilst on holiday, in Canada, Minesh proposed in a secret, tranquil location in front of the beautiful Toronto skyline.
Here we are now! So excited to spend the culmination of nearly 8 years of laughs, tears, and a whole lot of love together with you all, our nearest and dearest!
BRING ON THE PARTY!

What is a mehndi night?
Both the Bride and the Groom’s family come together and perform songs and dance routines, especially traditional Dandiya, Garba and Bhangra dances. The ritual presents an informal setting for the two families to get to know each other well.
What is the significance of mehndi?
Mehndi is a temporary natural dye used as an adornment by women, and is often associated with special celebrations. It will be applied on the Bride's hands and feet a day or two before the wedding with intricate patterns and the Groom's name/initials, which will be hidden somewhere. He will then have to find it!
We will have a mehndi station at the Mehndi Night for anyone who wants to apply it!
What is a Baraat?
This is the wedding procession that traditionally starts from the Groom's house and ends at the Bride's. However, ours will take place on the beautiful grounds of Hedsor House.
The Groom will arrive alongside his relatives and friends, who will walk with him while dancing to live music/drums (dhol)
The Bride's mother will then welcome the groom's family at the entrance.
What will the Lagna Vivaha (Hindu Ceremony) be like?
The ceremony will take place under a canopy-like structure called a mandap. A Hindu priest will officiate the ceremony and numerous relatives will perform specific roles under his guidance.
Both Bride and Groom will be seated in front of the priest for most of the ceremony. The priest will recite verses in Sanskrit, but will also provide English explanations of the rituals. The ceremony will involve mostly Gujarati customs.
Is parking available at the wedding venue?
Yes! There is plenty of car parking at Hedsor House that is complimentary for all wedding guests.
